Nothing makes a man more aware of his capabilities and of his limitations than those moments when he must push aside all the familiar defenses of ego and vanity, and accept reality by staring, with the fear that is normal to a man in combat, into the face of Death. Major Robert S. Johnson, USAAF

This memorial website was created to remember our dearest AndrewBisong Agbor who was born in Cameroon on September 28, 1970 and passed away on June 10, 2012. You will live forever in our memories and hearts.

We would like to start by thanking all those who have lent their support to Pastor Andrew’s widow and family since the announcement of his death on June 10th 2012. As we continue preparations to transport his mortal remains to the land of his ancestors in Bachuo-Akagbe, Manyu Division, in the Republic of Cameroon .

 Ambassador of Culture:

Pastor Andrew was born on September 28th 1970, joined the Manyu traditional Ekpe Society at a young age and rose to the rank of a “Tata Ngbe”. He became the able Deputy of his uncle, Sessekou John Orock of Maryland , after he assumed leadership of their family Ekpe Lodge following the death of Andrew’s father, Sessekou Isaac Agbornyong of Messing Quarter, Bachuo-Akagbe, in Upper Banyang Subdivision. His mother too, Mammy Dorothy Esanyoh Agbor from Ntenako in Eyumojock Subdivision, passed away about 2 years ago.

A young man full of life:

As a young man, “Pastor Andy” could out-dance anybody on the dance floor from Gospel Music, Traditional Music to the latest Decalle. He was a very lively young man whose joy and happiness was infectious. He was very active in MECA USA and MECA DC during his healthy years, and even ran for the office of President of UPBACDA DC about five years ago.

A Devout Christian who gave his life to God:

He had a serious side - A side that came out when he was preaching the words of the Almighty God. When Pastor Bisong was praying or giving a sermon, you could feel God working his miracle through him. He was blessed with extraordinary oratory skills, and he used that abundantly to serve his heavenly father who gave him that gift.

As we prepare to send our beloved husband, brother, friend, son, pastor and colleague to the land where God placed his ancestors, we would like to solicit additional support as we are still far from our target. You can forward your contributions through the following group leaders who have been assisting: MECA DC , MECA Maryland, Sub-Divisional Groups, Bachuo-Akagbe Family Group, Ntenako Community, Ekpe Society or any other community group that you are affiliated with.

We have also opened a memorial fund account at: Capital One Bank; Acct# 1350910936, Routing # 255071981, Swift Code: HIBKU544. The name on the account is the widow’s name: Helen A. Eneke.
